Research Malaysia - Viriditas

Viriditas is Latin for viridity and growth. The company is committed to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and medical research and development with its core function being to develop the next generation of innovative bioscience and biotechnology techniques and products.
Plant families such as the Amaryllidaceae, Brassicaceae, Cannabaceae, Ericaceae, Iridaceae, Lamiaceae, Lauraceae, Moringaceae, Pandanaceae, Poaceae, Rutaceae, Zingiberaceae, etc. and their multitude of genera and species offer a wide range and wealth of unique properties through their leaves, seeds, fruits, roots, bulbs, bark, stems and even waste for uses in a variety of areas such as:

·     Medical and Biomedicine
·     Health and Beauty
·     Agriculture and Digital Farming feeding into the Consumer Industry
·     Construction and the Built Environment
·     Energy, Environment and Climate Change which includes next generation of biofuels
Much of the plants structure from its roots to its shoots from plants such as garlic, broccoli, kale, cannabis, blueberries, saffron, mint, lavender, bay leaves, avocado, moringa, pandan, barley, lemongrass, curry leaves, pomelo, lime, ginger, turmeric to name a few, can be processed to extract vast amounts of proteins, minerals and vitamins but more importantly other phytochemical or chemical compounds for uses in medicine and health. Viriditas is actively researching plants for their naturally occurring antioxidant, antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, anti-depressive antipyretic, antiemetic, anticarcinogenic and analgesic properties and effects through their compounds like for instance; sulphoranes, allium Sulphur, anthocyanins, catechins, beta-carotenes, thiols and cannabinoids (CBD - cannabidiol, CBC - cannabichromene, CBG - cannbigerol, CBL - cannabicyclol, CBT - cannabicitran, etc.).
Due to the need, demand and growth in these sectors, Viriditas is developing homegrown jobs and wealth creation and IPR generation in Malaysia through its founding and by key and distinct academic and industrial research partnerships that thrive on innovation in research areas such as:
